There are plenty of promising new releases that came out on Friday. The debut album from Nevermen, the project of TV on the Radio‘s Tunde AdebimpeFaith No More‘s Mike Patton and rapper doseone is sure to spark plenty of interest. Former The Walkmen member Walter Martin has released his newest album Arts + Leisurea concept album about his time in the museum world that shows intelligent, interesting lyrics in his songs. The debut album from Brooklyn’s Florist, The Birds Outside Sang, are intimate, elaborate compositions that able to really paint a picture, full of yearning emotion. And Massive Attack dropped a surprise new EP.

The debut album, Gumption, from Your Friend out of Kansas is one of the albums that immediately stick out. Ethereal beauty that is a fragile piece of art that can haunt one’s soul. The UK’s MONEY released their second album Suicide Songs, in the vein of the Smith’s these songs explore tendencies, able to heal and encourage. Suicide Songs is worth repeat listens. Night Beats latest psych rock explosion, Who Sold My Generation is a must this week. If you are looking for good pop music this week, look no further than Wet’s Don’t You.  If you want something weird as hell, but yet completely accessible, check out Benji HughesSongs in the Key of Animals. A master of the commercial jingles, you can see that he knows how to keep the melodies, even if the songs don’t make complete sense at the time, so that makes sense.
