New Music Tuesday – 3/24

0

A little late to this week’s new music Tuesday party, but there are at least two great new albums worth mentioning, and more worth checking out.

Our two favorite releases this week that we have heard and can recommend:

courtneyb

Courtney Barnett: Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit – This Aussie’s official debut album is sure to be on all of the year end lists vaulting her into stardom. This album was immediately added to our Best Albums of 2015 list. Lyrically she stands on her own level, and the guitar riffs are incredible. Read about more about Courtney Barnett and last week’s song of the day: Depreston here.

hare and the hounds2

Hare and the HoundsA Moth, a Flame – This Atlanta based indie rock band has delivered a beautiful debut album, showing off great songwriting skills, wonderful musicianship, and great production work. This is an album you must sit down with, just put it on during a beautiful day like we did today, and enjoy this introspective and heartfelt album. These guys have our full attention now. For more on Hare and the Hounds, their song Sparrows was featured here.
