Info: Underwater Boys is the very fine work of Tom & Nick Klar – two brothers who make dreamy, fuzzy pop music in Brighton. Drawing influence from Cocteau Twins, Beach House, The Cure and Tame Impala, their sound is characterised by Tom’s sweet, otherworldly falsetto, and multi-instrumentalist Nick’s woozy, ethereal soundscapes.
Comments: A joyful sound about battling the darkest parts of yourself, it’s impossible not to immediately fall in love with the sprawling synths and transcendental falsetto from Underwater Boys – a song that from the opening note, scoops you up into the UK’s band’s world with a grip that you never want to end. While this single is just the first taste of Underwater Boys, they’ve already left no doubt that they are on top of our most anticipated future releases, but for now, we will just leave these two songs on constant repeat.
