VIDEO PREMIERE: SUSTO – Acid Boys (Live at the Georgia Theatre)

It’s been a hell of ride for Charleston-based SUSTO since they released their debut self titled album in 2014. The old manta of work hard/play hard applies directly to this band, as these guys tour extensively, and have a hell of a good time while doing it, making new fans and creating a buzz with every show they play. As the band continues with more upcoming tour dates, while prepping their sophomore album, due to be released in early 2017, we are excited to premiere the video of SUSTO performing “Acid Boys” live at the Georgia Theatre on this Throwback Thursday!

Shot and directed by Zach Hellmuth Studios, with sound by Wolfgang Zimmerman, this video was taken from a 2015 (9/25/15) performance at the historic theater in Athens, Georgia. The video follows the band with beautiful cinematography as they make the trek to Athens, through load in, and performing “Acid Boys,” one of the hits from their debut record. The video gives insight into the band itself, showing the fun and cutting up from the band backstage, to how they bring that energy, excitement and passion to the stage, engulfing the audience right up in it with them.

As the buzz continues to grow larger behind SUSTO, it’s clear this is a band on a huge upswing, only on the cusp of their potential as a band. While we wait patiently for their sophomore release in 2017, sit back and enjoy the catchy hooks and honest storytelling, incorporating humor and social commentary into the tales from frontman Justin Osborne. The SUSTO SESSIONS will be directed by WAV, Dries Vandenberg and Matt Zutell’s (Coast Records) newest venture.
